Why OTTER?

OTTER stands for Open Transaction Ticket Expert Round.

But when choosing the name, we were of course inspired by the OtterHub forum known to many OTRS users.

For a long time the OtterHub forum was the place to go for all information and activities of the community. The forum is now hosted by Znuny (https://community.znuny.org/), but is still accessible via the old URL https://forums.otterhub.org/. So the name is a piece of nostalgia for all OTRS "old-timers".

To express our connection to the community we have chosen the name OTTER Alliance.
